I was approached by Gaumont TV to create a key art campaign to both promote and serve as the branding for the new Amazon Prime Series, "El Presidente". The series explores the real-life conspiracy underlying the beginning of the 2015 FIFA Gate scandal and revolves around, Sergio Jadue, the head of a small Chilean football club who becomes a key player in corruption.
The ask was to explore two directions that both focused on dramatizing these real-life characters in a cinematic way through the use of compelling portrait photography. One concept was to create a classic movie poster with the cast stacked in a double exposure layout which mimicked the hand-painted posters of the past. This would be used for promos to circulate interest around the series as well as use in sales and marketing materials. The primary key art was based around portrait photography focusing on the 3 main characters and utilized a stark use of red and blue tones to echo the colors of the Chilean flag while creating a hightened sense of intrigue.
A soccer-infused fitness class developed by current and retired professional soccer players. When they expanded their classes to NYC area in the summer of 2018 I teamed up with their co-founders as creative director and photographer. We worked together to fine-tune their branding through fresh photography and video direction and worked on refining creative guidelines through crisp storytelling via social platforms that resulted in partnerships with nonprofit group Street Soccer USA and NYCFC.
During my time at Victoria’s Secret, I worked with the design team on creating new and engaging layouts and graphics for their main site in addition to other digital assets such as emails, motion graphics, and banner ad campaigns.
When I was approached about the re-design for the website of this NYC yoga studio I saw the need for a more extensive overhaul and update of the brand.
The result of the pitch was getting the green light to create a fresh new site design complete with a migration to their own customized WordPress format. Through some design explorations, I was able to create a brand style guide and updated their logo and branding.
In conjunction with the opening of a new studio at the time, the new website served as a digital home base for keeping their current members updated and informed as well as making it a fluid process for new membership.
LIFE magazine is still treasured as one of the most important publications in chronicling the 20th century through its carefully curated world-class photography.
Leading a small team we were asked to layout, design, and build an e-book to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the magazine which would allow readers to interact and explore the stories behind some of the most famous images to grace its pages.
One of the coolest highlights of this project was being given access to the digital library of these famous photos and even going through some of the negatives with the former editor-in-chief of LIFE magazine, Bill Shapiro.
When this world-famous sandal brand approached our team to create a US version of their website the ask was to create a fluid online shopping experience that would be driven by exciting and playful artwork.
Our team did so by taking the vibrant energy and colors of the Brazilian based company and creating a stock of illustrations, patterns, and animations that we used as the foundation of our visual design.
During my time at the channel, my weekly tasks would be in creating print and digital ads for each team covered by the network including The Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, the NY Redbulls as well as other MSGN originals.
My favorite campaign was one that was centered around the fan culture of each team and where I was able to incorporate my photography and integrate it into my design work. We went out to various games from each team and compiled a library of fan photos which we circulated through all of our ad layouts for that entire season.
Ten Thousand and Brian Mazza teamed up to create a limited edition NOTHING CHANGES IF NOTHING CHANGES collaboration. Mazza, creator of the national sports bar brand The Ainsworth, founder of High Performance Lifestyle Training, and serious athlete, lives by this motto in all aspects of his life. With Ten Thousand, a rising leader in quality, durable training gear the pairing was a no-brainer. I was asked to shoot high-intensity images that captured the energy and discipline of Brian during one of his daily workouts.
